From Investor to Builder
Michael Salazar's path into construction began in Colombia, where he bought older houses and replaced them with small residential buildings. What started as real estate investment became hands-on execution of his own projects.
Before that, he built his career in international trade. After studying Finance and International Relations, with additional training in Foreign Trade, he started at the Port Society of Barranquilla and went on to run his own import operations between Asia and the Americas. That experience still shapes how he sources materials and manages every project.
A Family Company in Miami
In the United States, Michael co-founded DiLusso Construction with his father, who brought years of experience in exterior construction. Transforming outdoor spaces remains the core of the company's work, while Michael also develops and builds homes from the ground up.

Building for Wellbeing
Michael is an active investor in wellness, media and real estate ventures he leads with his partner, integrative wellness specialist Sarah Aguilar. Their collaboration opened a new line within DiLusso's residential work: wellness-oriented construction.
Michael leads the construction and imports the materials and systems these homes require, so rest, recovery and connection are considered from the blueprints to the final walkthrough.
Beyond Construction
Michael is also the owner and CEO of DLX Express, an international logistics company. Having worked with suppliers and with goods for his own businesses, he understands the commercial needs behind every operation, and brings that same perspective to every project DiLusso builds.
